This photo-zine is a visual conversation between Brooklyn and Borikén through the lens of artist Bryana, a diasporican based in Brooklyn, NY. It is an exploration of ancestral connection and the natural world, invisible threads that keep us connected to our roots across time and space. This photo-zine has a digital component that expands on ancestral connection/relationship to the land and water and these connections in relation to collective liberation struggles globally.

Each issue comes with the secret phone number to dial on the "shellphone" that grants you entry to explore the curated digital archival/mind mapping gallery space. This digital space labeled the "shellverse" is a digital collection of art, articles, youtube videos, journalism, tv and film, music, and photography that has inspired and shaped Bryana over the years especially in relation to the topics within 'Seasick.'
